Two Strand Manrope Knot

The two strand manrope knot is an attractive stopper knot ideal for lanyards, zipper pulls, key ring fobs, etc.

You will need a hemostat or needle nose pliers to help complete the knot.

First Tie a Wall Knot . . . . . .

Make a loop and bring right hand end under two.

Then bring the other end under, over two and down through the bight. Tighten.

. . .then a Crown.

Bring the right hand end over, under the left hand end to complete the crown (overhand knot).

Next Tuck Up . . . . .

Take left hand end and move it under the wall knot strand and up through the bight.

Do the same with the other strand.

Then Tuck Down.

Tighten the knot slightly. There is an obvious place for the end to exit through the center of the knot. With a forceps pull the end through.

Do the same with the other end. Tighten knot and cut off the ends.
