Two Level Indoor Rabbit Hutch

Indoor Rabbit Hutch - Designed for maximum light and easy clean
Building the Frame

First of all we worked out the size we could fit in the available space, we decided we wanted the hutch to have two levels that we could separate or have open if required.
We made the frame 3x2" timber used for studded walls, this is readably available from all timber merchants and DIY stores.
Fitting the Back and Bases

We used 10mm foamex material sourced from HFE Signs UK, this material is animal safe and is very easy to clean, it cuts well and is used for a range of applications including Printed Signs. HFE will cut material to your sizes for you and you can have it printed or unprinted.
Fitting the Acrylic Doors & Mesh Ends

We added the clear acrylic top and front doors, all hinged for easy access and cleaning, again we sourced our acrylic from HFE Signs (UK Supplier). Hinges and fasteners were sourced from Amazon and the mesh was sourced from a local DIY shop.
Making the Trap Door, Ladder and the Sleeping Area

We made the sleeping area from MDF, this has very good strength, insulation properties and is ideal for gnawing, we used the access cut out as a step.
Toys

Finally we made a toy for the new rabbit :)
