Twix Brownies
Today I will be teaching you how to make this easy Twix brownies recipe. It is quick and simple while using boxed brownie mix and following the instructions off of the box, and using a ten-minute caramel recipe! This actually wasn't the original idea because I had many issues with the original idea that I couldn't resolve. But, I love Twix and I thought it would be a great idea to make Twix brownies since I love to bake! I plan to remix this by substituting applesauce instead of oil because it is a healthier option.
Supplies and Tools
-Brownie mixture
-Heavy whipping cream
-Stick of salted butter
-Eggs
-Salt
-Applesauce
-Mixing bowl
-Twix
-Granulated sugar
-Medium saucepan
-Measuring cups/spoons
-9”/13” brownie pan
Brownie Powder
Pour dry brownie mixture into the mixing bowl.
Water in Dry Mixture
Add 1 tablespoon of water to the dry brownie mixture.
Eggs
Crack two eggs into mixing bowl with the brownie mixture.
Applesauce
Add ½ cup of applesauce into the mixing bowl to substitute for oil. This is my remix step and it makes the brownies healthier.
Crushed Twix
Crush desired amount of twix, then add to brownie mixture.
Batter Into Pan
Pour the brownie/twix mixture into the brownie pan.
Sugar for Caramel
Add 1 cup of granulated sugar into the saucepan and cook on medium heat. The sugar will start to clump.

Melted Sugar
Once the sugar turns to a thick brown colored liquid it is ready for the next step.
Butter
Immediately add 6 tablespoons of butter after the sugar melts.
Heavy Cream
Once butter melts into the sugar, slowly add heavy whipping cream and then let boil for 1 minute.
Salt
Take the mixture off the heat and then add 1 teaspoon of salt and mix. Let the mixture sit until thickened to your liking.
Finished Caramel
You may have to let the caramel sit and cool down, but once the preferred consistency is hit the caramel is finished.
Finished Brownies
Once brownies are done cooking, add and spread your desired amount of caramel to the top and then (optional) add your desired amount of crushed Twix on top!
