Turn Old Cheap CardBoard Box Into a Useful Premuim Storage Shelf With Space for Everything

IMG_1862.JPG

First of all i had a lot of cardboard Boxes that were occupying a space in the room without any use and my stuff were messy all over so i had an idea to create something useful of these Card boards instead of leaving them adding to the mess so i Created the Shelf in the Picture out of multiple Layers of Card Boards since i needed it to be strong to carry any weight and at same time Look nice in the Room .

In this Tutorial I will Explain how i made it Step by Step . So Let's Start .

Let's Start

Materials:

  1. 4 or 5 x Old Cardboard Boxes ( i had a lot so i picked the strongest 3 and it costs nothing ) and the last two to make the final Shelf Stronger
  2. 2 x Wood Texture Wall Paper 2.5 m rolls

Tools :

  1. Ruler
  2. Pencil
  3. Scissors
  4. Glue
  5. Brown Paper

For Each of the First 3 Cardboard Boxes :

Get the Box , glue it from outside the Bottom to close it and cut the top , then add top parts to the base after gluing it from inside to make it stronger leave a Heavy object inside the box till it dry (Here i am using a Textbook)

Repeat the same steps for the other 2 boxes and let them dry ( I let them dry till the other day but couple hours should be enough )

Build the Shelf Structure

Attach the 3 Boxes Together with Glue in-between and hold them with Clamps till they dry (i don't have wood Clamps so i used these Clamps :D with books on the shelves ) anyways they Dried and attached Firmly ,

then get brown paper to attach it between boxes and from inside to thicken the back of the shelf then let it dry

Make It Even Stronger

Get 4 cardboard strips (Cut from another box with the Desired Height but make sure it is long enough so when it's wrapped it will be thick enough to carry the Shelves ) and add Glue to the inner surface then wrap each of the 4 strips to make the 4 legs and let them dry

Make It Look Premuim

cover the Whole Surface with the Wood Texture paper from inside , outside bottom to give it a premium look and also protect the Cardboard from Water when cleaning around it

It took some time and some corners were tricky when adding the texture but after Completing all Surfaces it looked Really Great as if it was made of wood and was very strong .

Let's Test It

It was Wonderful and very useful organizing all different stuff that were messy all over my room ,it could accommodate all of these and more from Textbooks , dvds Box and others and Looked like it's a piece of the Furniture . if you Liked my Project Please Vote for it Thanks .
