Turkish Coffee Bitters

This is a delicious twist on coffee bitters. It is based on Turkish Coffee, which has other spices, mainly cardamom, added. It is a must have for any home bitters maker, or even just the average home mixologist. Turkish Coffee bitters add a delicious twist to any cocktail. What are you waiting for? Get bitters making!
Ingredients

- 1/4 tsp. cacao nibs
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 star anise pod
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1 tbsp. cardamom
- 2 tbsp. coffee beans, cracked
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup vodka
- 1/4 cup 101 proof bourbon
Steep

Combine all of the ingredients in a mason jar, adding the liquor last. Steep for at least a month, longer if you like. To steep, put them in a place out of direct light. It will be very hard to wait, but the end result is worth it.

After the steeping time, you just strain and bottle up the bitters. You can even use personalized labels, like I did. Now you can enjoy them in your favorite cocktails!
