I made different objects using Turkish Coffee Based Bioplastic. I found the recipe from here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-xPsR9WuR30.

Supplies

Coffee: 40 gr

Corn starch: 30 gr

Agar Agar: 15 gr

Glycerol: 10 ml

Vinegar: 10 ml

Water: 100 ml

Measure the Ingredients

Mix Ingredients and Cook

I mixed all the ingredients into steel coffee pot (cezve) and stir them using a spoon. I put them on the stove and continue to stir the mixture while cooking. It takes around 15 minutes to get dense and thick as in the photo.

Molding

After the cooking process, I used a silicone baking mold and plastic surface to shape the objects. After 15 mins taking out from the pot, it is difficult to shape the mixture, so you need to prepare your molding materials beforehand.

Drying and Decorating

I left it in the room setting for drying. After 24 hours it was dry enough to put it out from the mold. I waited two more days to make sure it protects its shape and texture. At the end, the material was tough and rigid. I decorated the Turkish coffee based objects with the acrylic marker.
