Tuna Smash Sandwich

This is one of my favourite sandwiches. One of the main reasons is the ingredients are cheap and the minimum output is two sandwiches. Two sandwiches are always better than one.

Supplies

Required:

1 Can of Tuna

1/2 Tbsp of Chili Oil

2 Tbsp of Italian Bread Crumbs

Pinch of Salt

Pinch of Black Pepper

1 Tsp of Olive Oil (or any other oil)

4 Slices of Beard

1 Large Egg

Mayo

Tools:

Pan

Bowl

Spatula

Spoon

Knife

Optional:

Hot Sauce

Lettuce (or other greens)

Cheese

Prep Tuna Mixture

Mix together;

Tuna, Chili oil, Bread crumbs, Egg, Salt and Pepper.

Once mixed, do your best to separate it into two portions.

Tuna Cooking Time

Get the pan hot, and add olive oil

As the title says, SMASH one portion of the tuna mixture into the pan.

Wait 1 minute (depends on the hotness of the pan) and flip. This is the time to add the optional cheese (I'm lactose intolerant, so I didn't)

Get Ready Bread

Mayo one or both sides of the bread.

Add tomatoes and onions, or other greens.

Everything Together

By now the other side of tuna smash would have cooked, add it to mayo'd side of the bread. I added the optional hot sauce.

Most Important Step

Make sure you toast that bread on the outside.

Cut and Serve

Cut diagonally and enjoy!
