Tropical Sherbet

Summer is near and it's time for an early start on beat the upcoming heat. Refreshing sherbet is one of the best ways to stay cool. They're smooth flavorful and easy to make. Tropical fruit are a great choice for great flavor and nutrients.

Supplies

1 pineapple (cubed)
1 banana (sliced)
1/4 mango (cubed)
1/2 cup coconut water
water
cutting surface
knife
sandwich bags
freezer bag
blender

Cutting the Fruit

If your're unsure on how to cut the fruit, go through steps 2-6 otherwise go to step 7.

Cutting the Pineapple

First cut the top and bottom of the pineapple. Then place your hand on the top pf the pineapple and cut the sides of the pineapple. after cutting the sies off, shave off any pieces that look like picture inedible and pick out the seeds.

If you're wondering about the center go to step 4. Use the knife to cut the fruit in half, then cut half of each section. Lay the fruit down and cut horizonaly in half. Veritcally cut each section into halves. Repeat for each slice and put into freezer bag.

Pineapple Center

If you're worried about the center you can vut that section out. To cut out the center look for the sction that's solid and lighter in color. Another way is if its hard to cut then its hard to chew or you can cut a small piece and taste it.

Banana

Peel the banana. Cut into half sections. Put into sandwich bags.

Mango

Cut off one side of the mango. Be careful not to cut too close to the center. Cut vertical and horiztonal lines to make squares. Push Mango up. Then cut off the cubes. Put into a sandwich bag.

Time to Wait

Place all of the fruit into the freezer for at least four hours. For best results, freeze overnight.

Blend

Remove all the fruit from the freezer. Put all the fruit into the blender. Start the blender. Stop and add the coconut water. Continue to blend until smooth. If you have problems with the consistency add water or coconut water.

Pour into cups and serve.
