Double chocolate cookies are good, but triple chocolate cookies are better. They are a quick and easy dessert to make whenever you're wanting something really sweet!

Gather Ingredients

*Preheat oven to 325 degrees.*

  • Betty Crocker double chocolate chunk cookie mix
  • canola or vegetable oil
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons of water or milk
  • semi-sweet M&Ms
  • white chocolate pieces
  • large mixing bowl
  • measuring cups
  • baking pan
  • LOTS of napkins

Total amount of cookies: 20 small or about 12 large

Bake time: 8-15 minutes depending on cookie size

Total preparation time: 40 minutes

Mix Dry Ingredients

Pour cookie mix into the large mixing bowl. Then add white chocolate chips. I added 1/2 a cup.

Mix Wet Ingredients

After the dry ingredients are mixed, add 1/4 cup canola oil. Mix. Add 2 tablespoons of milk or water. I chose to use milk. Mix. Finally, add 1 egg. And again....mix.

Consistency

After everything is properly mixed, the dough should be sticky and look something like this.

Prep the Pan

With the canola oil that was used earlier, put some on a napkin and grease the pan. I ran out of Pam, so the oil was a good substitute.

Roll the Cookies

At this point, they look gross. But the cookies should be about 2 inches in diameter. These will be bigger cookies, make them smaller if you wish to do so.

Lay Them Out

They should be about 1 inch apart on a 9 X 13 cookie sheet.

Add M&Ms

Take a fork and lightly press down on the cookies so they are flat on top. Lightly press a few M&Ms on to the top them. Of course they don't have to be colored coded, I just have OCD.

Put Them in the Oven!

Once the oven is preheated, put them in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes. Use a toothpick and poke a cookie in the middle to see if it's done. If so, take them out! If not, keep them in for another 5 minutes and check in intervals.

Drizzle (optional)

While the cookies are baking, pour some left over white chocolate chips into a small mixing bowl and heat in the microwave for 45 seconds. The chocolate should be melted to a liquid. Save this for when the cookies are cooled.

Cool

Once the cookies are done, take them out and set to cool for about 15 to 20 minutes. You can refrigerate them to make the cooling process quicker.

Drizzle..again

Once the cookies are cooled, take the melted white chocolate and drizzle it over the cookies. It doesn't have to be perfect! Put in the refrigerator to let the chocolate harden once again.

EAT!!

They're done. Enjoy!
