Tribal Mask
To start off we need water, air dry clay, and acrylic paint
Supplies
To start off we need water, air dry clay, and acrylic paint
Making the Mask
I modeled the mask with a monkey's face as reference. I shaped each part of the face- the cheekbones, nose and mouth separately. Then, I stuck the parts to the main face using a clay/water mix in 3:1 ratio. This mixture acted like a glue to fix new parts to the face.
Finish Drying
I waited for the mask to dry and then started the painting process using acrylics.
Adding Details
I added more details so that it resembled an African tribal mask.
The Final Result
After finishing up the details I allowed the paint to dry. This is the final result.
