Trek Pole Camera Monopod / Selfie Stick

Turn your trekking pole into a camera monopod or selfie stick. This is a fast and simple camera hack. I won't be going into a great deal of detail in this instructable. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

Parts

-Trek pole

-Small spring

-Washer

-1/4-20 screw of appropriate length

Drill a Hole for the Camera Mount Screw

Drill a hole in the trek pole handle.

I took off the wrist strap to drill the hole for the camera mount screw. Because of the space limitation I had to drill it at an angle to get the screw to fit.

There'll be enough room to replace the strap after the build.

Thread the Screw, Spring, and Washer Through the Handle

Mount Your Camera!

I'm using GoPro compatible hardware in the picture and a generic action camera, but the screw mount will fit most point-and-shoot or DSLR cameras. Enjoy!
