Trash Bucket

Turn an old bucket into a trash can using a few nuts and bolts. The bolts are great for holding plastic bag handles. Plus this project is really easy!

Get Your Materials

You'll need
-an old bucket (mine had sprung a leak)
-2 bolts
-4 nuts
-wire cutters
-needle nosed pliers

Get Rid of the Handle

Remove the handle with your wire cutters. If the handle is too strong, you can cut the plastic bucket just below the handle and slip the handle out.

Attach the Nuts and Bolts

Slide one nut onto the bolt, then, put the bolt through the hole in the handle. Use needle nosed pliers to attach a nut to the open end of the bolt, securing it in place.

Line Your Trash Can With a Plastic Bag

Use the bolts to hold the handles of the plastic bag and attach to the bucket. And your easy trash can is ready to be filled with garbage... or materials for your next craft project.
