Hello, I am Keya and my project is a helicopter-based toy train which I designed in my Engineering Honors class at Benicia High School.

Here is the link for my project in fusion:

The first step of my project was to create a 3d model design of my toy train. With the help of a caliper, I got approximate measurements of a sample toy train and started designing my train parts in the Fusion 360 software one by one.

3D Printing the Train Parts

Next, I 3d printed all my train parts using the Ultimaker 3 extended as well as Ultimaker 2+. I imported the files from fusion to Cura software; I uploaded those files to USB drives and then printed my 3d models. I 3d printed 1 train body, 1 helicopter blade, 4 wheels, 5 train decorations, and 1 tail rotor.

Assembling the Train Parts

After my train parts were finally printed I began assembling them. The extra supplies that I used to assemble my train were super glue, nails, and a hammer.

First I started with hammering the nails into my wheel and the helicopter blade so that it could be properly fitted and still move freely.

Then I hammered the magnet into the holes of the train's body with its pin, I also had created an extra piece of block for my toy train since its tail made it impossible for it to connect with other trains.

Lastly, the rest of the parts including the designs and the train's tail were fitted comfortably into the train body with a hole mechanism as well as super glue.
