Cutting Boards for Walls

Using some spare wood I cut each board to 3' in length using a miter saw. Depending on the width of your boards will determine how many you'll need to make it 1' wide. I used a total of 6 boards for one wall and there's a total of three walls so 18 in total.

Cutting Shelf Supports

I cut some scrap wood from a pallet to 1' in length for a total of about 20 boards. These boards will hold all the pieces together to make it one and also will provide a place to put the shelves on.

Stapling Wall Boards Together

Using a staple gun and 1 1/2" nails, I stapled the shelf supports to the wall. The two middle boards must be 1' away from each other so that there's a total of three shelves that are even in size. I also recommend clamping the boards together to ensure that they're tight and won't move while assembling.

Using a torch, torch the walls now to make it easier for later.

Attaching Walls

Using 2" screws and a drill I attached the walls together. I drilled the screws into the back because you won't see them because it'll be against a wall.

Installing Shelf Boards

IMG-5266.jpg

Cut 12 boards to 1' 1" for the shelves. Start at the bottom so it's easier to install so the upper shelves aren't in the way.

Starting at the bottom, nail the shelf, torch it, and then do the one above it.
