Too Easy Flappy Bird
Paper is one of the favorite materials for almost all craft enthusiasts around the world. I too love paper for its easy availability and versitality. It always amazes me that how a piece of paper can be molded into almost any shape we want.
In this Instructable project, we will build a Flappy bird in few easy steps. I'm sure kids will enjoy making and playing with this toy.
Supplies
- Black Pen or Marker
- Pencil
- 15 x 15 cm paper
- Scissor
Folding and Marking
- Lay the paper on a flat surface and fold it along one of its diagonals.
- With the help of a pencil, mark two dotted lines and one solid line. We will fold along dotted lines and cut along the solid line.
In picture 3 above:
- Length AB = 9.5 cm
- Length BC = 2.5 cm
- Length CD = 13 cm
- Length DE = 2.5 cm
- Length DF = 5 cm
- Length FG = 3 cm
Tail and Head
- Cut along the solid line to make the Tail and Head of the bird.
- Next, from the right corner, first, fold along the first dotted line and then again along the second dotted line. Crease all the folds nicely.
Bird Is Ready for Its Flight
- Lay the paper so that the tail is pointing away from you.
- Lift the lower part upward and fold along the dotted lines.
- Now, pinch the top part between your thumb and index finger so that it folds along the triangular dotted line.
- Last, fold the paper along the centerline so that the two corners(A and B) meets below to make a flap.
- Gently crease all the folds and draw the eyes of your bird with a pen or a marker.
The Flappy Bird
Hold the bird at point A with one hand. Now pull the flap downward to make the bird flap.
