Toll House Pan Cookies

These cookie bars are simple and delicious! Original recipe can be found here. Enough talk! Let's get baking!

Ingredients:

- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (I used walnuts)

Prep

Preheat your oven to 375° fahrenheit. Grease a 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan (I didn't have one so I used a 13 x 9-inch cake pan. It seemed to work just fine except they're a little gooey).

Dry Ingredients

Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a medium-sized bowl.

Wet Ingredients

Beat together butter (I don't have a microwave and I didn't want to wait for it to soften so I sliced it up and beat it in the Kitchen-Aid) granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract.

Eggs

Add one of the eggs and beat mixture. Repeat.

Flour

Gradually beat in flour mixture (I did about 1/2 cup at a time).

Chocolate Chips and Nuts

Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Spread Into Pan

Spread into greased pan.

Bake

Bake for 20-25 minutes in preheated oven until golden brown.

Cool and Cut
