Experiment creating different types of designs with the cut up petal pieces.
Roughly decide how you would like yours to look.
Choose what colours you would like each part to be.
(See below for flower centre and bud ideas)

Painting

Cover your workspace with a piece of cardboard or scrap paper. Paint the petals with your chosen colours and leave to dry. Poster paint works well!

Centre of the Flower

To make the centre of the flower cut open one petal piece along a fold line.
Roll it into a circle and use glue gun or PVA glue to stick the end piece down so it doesn't open up.

Making Flower Buds

To make buds, cut one petal piece in half along the fold lines.
Bend one side in half to form the top of the bud.
Bend the other side in half and swirl the ends to form the bottom part of the bud.
Stick together using glue.

Use your imagination to create any other flower designs!

You can hang up your finished flowers using cotton cord, or stick them onto a canvas or frame.

To create your own display board, cover a thick piece of cardboard larger than the size of your flower with any leftover wrapping paper or wallpaper, making sure you cover the side edges too. Glue down or use tape at the back.

If you want to hang your display board, then knot a length of cotton cord on either end and glue this as a loop to the back of the board at the top. Cover the knotted ends with another piece of cardboard and glue down.

You can then stick down your final flower piece onto this with glue.

Done!
