Toilet Flange Repair

Discovered broken flange while repairing leaking toilet. Step by step process to repair broken toilet flange.

Supplies

5/8 wrench
7/16 wrench

Hammer Drill

Concrete drill bit and screws

Wax ring

Towels

Putty knife

Step 1- Assemble Supplies

Step 2: Turn Off Water Supply

Place towel on floor to catch water.

Step 3: Disconnet Water Supply Line

Use 5/8 inch wrench

Flush toilet to remove excess water

Step 4: Dip Water From Tank

Step 5: Lift Toilet Off Flange

Step 6: Remove Old Wax From Flange

Use putty knife to remove wax

Step 7: Inspect Damaged Flange

Step 8: Drill Holes Into Concrete Floor

Use hammer drill, concrete bit and screws

Step 9: Place Repair Flange on Exisiting Flange

Secure with concrete screws

Step 10: Place New Seal/ Wax Ring Onto Flange

Step 11: Replace Toilet

Secure with toilet anchor bolts.

Hand tighten bolts only to prevent cracking toilet.

Step 12: Reattach Water Supply Line

Check for water leaks.

Toilet is now ready for use.
