This is a fun little device where you can push the plus button to add lights that represent items on your to-do list. Then you can push the minus button each time you finish something on your to-do list and it plays a noise to congratulate you. When you finish everything on your list it plays a song.

Supplies

  • Circuit Playground
  • USB Connecting Cable
  • Battery
  • 2 Sheets of Yellow Felt
  • 1 Sheet of Orange Felt
  • 1 Sheet of Pink Felt
  • Needle and Thread
  • Hot Glue

Print out this template for cutting out the felt.

Cut Out Felt

Final Project Instructions-02.png

Pin the circle to the yellow felt and cut out. Pin the star to the orange felt and cut out.

Attach Circuit Playground to Felt

Final Project Instructions-03.png
  • Sew the circuit playground onto the center of the orange felt using loops on either side of the playground.
  • Cut a small hole in the orange felt where the battery pack connects to the playground.
  • Plug the battery cord into the circuit playground through the hole, so that the playground is on one side of the felt and the battery is on the other.

Attach Yellow Felt to Orange Felt

Final Project Instructions-04.png
  • Place the yellow felt in the center of the orange felt so it covers the circuit playground completely.
  • Sew in place.

Connect to Other Piece of Yellow Felt

Final Project Instructions-05.png
Final Project Instructions-06.png
  • Use a little bit of hot glue to connect the battery to the backside of the orange felt to keep it in place.
  • Make sure the on/off switch is on the outside.
  • Place everything on a piece of yellow felt, battery facing down and the circuit playground facing up.
  • Use the hot glue to glue each triangle of the star to the yellow felt beneath it, enclosing the battery inside.
  • Sew the orange felt onto the yellow felt underneath.
  • Cut out the yellow felt in the same shape as the orange star, leaving a little bit of excess all around.

Glue on Plus Sign and Minus Sign

Final Project Instructions-07.png
  • Cut out a small plus sign and minus sign from the pink felt.
  • Hot glue the plus sign onto the top yellow felt on top of the A button on the playground.
  • Hot glue the minus sign onto the top yellow felt on top of the B button on the playground.
