Tiramisu Mousse | Quick and Easy Recipe
Tiramisu is known for its coffee flavor and creamy marscarpone filling. Since this is such a delicious and popular desserts, I've thought that it was only appropriate to turn it into a mousse because who doesn't love a good mousse. There isn't any raw eggs in this dessert, it's free of alcohol and it honestly comes together pretty fast and the list of ingredients isn't very long. If you wan to learn how to make this easy Tiramisu Mousse, follow along with me step by step or watch my video tutorial. Let's go!
Supplies
- Hamilton Beach Hand Mixer
- Rubber Spatula
- Misc. Kitchen Utensils
Ingredients
- Ladyfingers
- 6 teaspoon instant coffee
- 1 cup hot water
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 8 ounces marscarpone cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1-ounce semi-sweet chocolate
- Weight Converter (if you need help converting the measurements)
Dissolve Coffee
Add instant coffee to the hot water and stir until incorporated. Let cool completely. I poured my coffee into a slightly larger and more shallow bowl to cool faster and to allow for easier dipping of the ladyfingers later in the recipe.
Beat Heavy Whipping Cream
Beat heavy whipping cream until stiff peaks form, add this to refrigerator to keep chill while you work on the other ingredients.
Combined Powdered Sugar and Marscarpone
Mix powdered sugar and marscarpone with a hand mixer until smooth. I started by using a rubber spatula to incorporate the powder sugar into the marscarpone and then I used the electric hand mixer so I wouldn't make a huge mess with the powdered sugar.
Add Vanilla and Coffee
Mix in vanilla extract and 1-4 tablespoon of the coffee to marscarpone mixture (the more you add the stronger your Tiramisu will be).
Fold in Whipped Cream
Gently fold whipped cream into coffee mixture gently until everything is combined.
Dip Ladyfingers
Break the ladyfingers in half and quickly dip each one individually into the remainder of coffee. Add 6-8 halves of the ladyfinger to the bottom of each serving glass.
Assemble
Add small amount of coffee mixture to serving glasses, top the layer with a dusting of cocoa powder. Continue layering the tiramisu and cocoa powder (the more layers you get, the prettier it looks). I only got a few layers because my serving glasses were large.
Grate Chocolate on Top
Once you get to the top layer, grate the 1 ounce of semi-sweet chocolate over the tops of the serving dishes.
Enjoy!
Serve right away. Enjoy!
