Tiny Little Giftbox

I went to a birthday party of 2 of my nieces. They were not interested in surprise gifts, since they were both saving money to buy stuff they want: a bike, a cell phone.

Would you go and give some money in an envelope? I chose a more difficult wrap, I made a personalized box using laser cutter.

Step 1: Create Template for Box

I went to https://festi.info/boxes.py/TwoPiece to create the box. This is faster than to do it on your own.

Choose length, width, height and material thickness of your box. The other parameters are left to default.

Step 2: Customize the Box Using Inkscape

Since I needed 2 boxes, I copy-pasted all the elements that make the box.

For the laser cutter I use, cut lines must become red, engrave parts must be black.

I make all the cut elements red.

Then, I put some cute bitmaps and and text on it to engrave.

Step 3: Make It

Take the resulting .svg file to the laser cutter, and watch

Afterwards, assemble the box.
