You Will Need:

1. 2 Bottle tops.

2. Some duct tape.

3. A piece of paper.

4. At least 7 sparklers.

5. A sharp knife.

6. Pliers.

7. Matches.

Bend 6 of the sparklers until all the powder falls off, make sure it lands on the paper.

Reserve the seventh sparkler for the fuse.

Fill the Caps With Powder.

Fold the paper and slide the powder into the bottle caps. It should take about 6 sparklers to fill both bottle caps. Do not overfill.

Sandwiching the Caps.

Cover one bottle lid with the edge of the paper and place them on top of each other.

Remove the Paper.

Gently slide the paper out and make sure you don't spill any powder (this is the trickiest part).

Tape Firmly Together.

Gently bore a hole in the top bottle lid and tape about the same size of your remaining sparkler for the fuse.

Making and Attaching the Fuse

Cut off the wire attached to the remaining sparkler leaving only the wire covered in powder. Push the sparkler into the hole you made to the bottom of the firework.

Place your tiny firework in a clear space with 3 meters clearance of anything flammable e.g: the fence, the BBQ, the cat etc. You may like to have a jug of water handy for when it's all over (it will still be red hot long after the show is over).

Light carefully and stand well back. You may have to wait a bit. The fuse will burn itself into the firework and it will look like it has gone out before it suddenly erupts into a beautiful scene!
