IMG_0008.jpg

Hello, my name is Matthew, I am a junior at Cedar Grove High School in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. I am very interested in 3d Printing as I have taken two courses at Cedar Grove High School. As Halloween was only few weeks away from the start of my project, I decided to make a witch and a cauldron.

Throughout this guide, there will be step by step instructions, tools, and software you will need to make this.

Supplies

Hardware

  • Glue
  • Black paint
  • Neon green filament
  • Grey filament
  • Deburring tool
  • 3d Printer

Online

  • Tinkercad
  • Cauldron PNG

Starting a 3d Design on Tinkercad

I choose to use Tinkercad as it is a reliable program. I then created 3d Designs

This is the link I used

Splitting the Witch in Half

I split the witch in half to make easier to print. If I did not split it, it would take much supports and may ruin the print

Printing the Cauldron

I printed the cauldron upside down for an easier print

Deburring the Witch

IMG_8031.jpg

I used a deburring tool to get rid of the elephants foot. I did this so the edges are a lot more smooth.

Gluing the Witch

I used glue to put the witch together. I then let it dry for 20-30 minutes

Painting the Witch

I used black paint to paint the witches body. I painted 2 coats for the most optimal color.

Gluing the Cauldron and Bubbles

I put glue on the top of the cauldron and carefully placed the bubbles on top. I then let it dry for 20-30 minutes
