Ingredients

  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or candy wafers
  • 3 cups white chocolate chips or candy wafers
  • 1-1/2 cups smooth or chunky peanut butter

These are the ingredients for Tiger Butter Candy for this Instructable, but there are many substitutions for the peanut butter: coconut flakes, crushed mint candy, raisins, walnuts, and toffee chips are just a few other ingredients to try.

Directions
Put semi-sweet chocolate chips and white chocolate chips in 2 separate baking dishes in a pre-heated 250F degree oven. Remove from oven when melted, in 8-10 minutes. Stir the peanut butter into the melted white chocolate chips until well blended. Pour the white chocolate mixture over the semi-sweet chocolate layer and swirl gently with a knife or small spatula until the surface is white and chocolate swirls.

This is an especially fun activity for kids since it gives them a chance to be creative with the swirling chocolate patterns, whether they create tiger stripes or patterns of their own. It’s important not to stir too long, though, because the swirls will disappear if the two chocolate mixtures are completely combined.

Ready - Set - Eat!
