In This Instructable, I'll show you how to make a rose with a tie.

Things You'll Need

1> Regular Tie (I Prefer Red, though i didn't i have one at the moment)

2> Rubber Band / Elastic Band

3> Support (I used an old Stirrer) this is optional.

4> Perfume (to make it smell good) (optional)

Step 1

Every tie has a stitch at the middle. Look for it, it would be at an angle.

Alternatively, Fold the Tie in half length wise and find the middle part of the tie.

Fold the tie along the Stitch / fold it to make a 90' turn.

Step 2

Now there are two parts, One that is in the front and the other that is behind. Let's say I and II.

Now, fold II so that it is now in the front. Now repeat it so that I is in the front.

Your Combination would be I II I II I II I II I II ......

or just "Fold each end of the ribbon across the right angle fold to build a stack of folded squares."

Step 3

When your done with that, you would be left with something like the one in the picture. Carefully, hold the first two folds and lift them, you would get the spring like structure in Picture 2.

Step 4

Now, from the front (the portion where you have made the last two folds), holding the last two folds, pull the last fold.

You would get the flower like shape.

Hold on to the first (the portion where you have made the last two folds) of the ribbon firmly and very gently pull the other end. The folds will start to bunch together and starts to form a rose shape
