Tie Dyed Underwear

It gives me a frisson of joy knowing that under my staid dark middle aged clothes I am wearing tie-dyed underwear. I can be wild and still be on the Board of the Women's Alliance at Church.

For supplies you will need Dye, I used a set from a craft store.

Rubber bands. I used tiny bands and large.

nitrile gloves or any waterproof gloves or your hands will be multicolored for days.

Cardboard or foam core cut to fit your item so that the dye doesn't bleed through.

Plastic bags big enough to hold the item on the foamcore.

First wash the item and take it out of the washer. If you do the dye while damp, it spreads around nicely.

Put the wet item on the foam board, wrap dots with rubber bands.

Use your imagination to put the color where you want it.

Seal it in the plastic bag for 8 hours.
