Hello! I have created a tic tac toe game that is accessible to people who are blind or possess impaired vision and I am going to show you how I made it!
Supplies

The program we used is Autodesk Fusion 3d. The printer that was used to create the final product utilized PLA filament.
Planning

The final project was to be a tic tac toe game. I decided that I wanted to use interlocking slats to form the game board, as it would take less filament and be more efficient. The project was to fit in a 150mm by 150mm area and be playable with your eyes closed.
Defining the Board

I first laid out the sketch for the game borders. These rods were 150 mm long and 10 mm wide, and when interlaced would form the tic tac toe grid. I then extruded the sketch to create a long rectangular prism with a square base of 10 mm by 10 mm. In order to allow them to interlace, I carved a 5 mm square into the prisms. They are placed equally apart in order to allow for an even playing board. The carvings are also on either side of the rectangular prism to allow cleaner and more secure interlocking.
Creating the Pieces

To play Tic Tac Toe pieces are needed. I went with the classic x's and o's as they are easily made and easily identified. I created each sketch and then copied them each 5 times, as 5 of each piece-type are needed to play a full game.
Printing

Export the file and send it to the printer to print. Wait a few hours and your masterpiece is done!
