Thumb Page Holder for Reading

This Thumb Page Holder is a simple yet effective tool designed to make reading more comfortable. Holding the pages open with just one hand helps reduce strain and makes reading easier, especially for long periods. I didn't want to spend money on something I could make for free using materials I already had. This project is both eco-friendly and functional.
Supplies
- Cereal box-style cardboard
- Glue (Mod Podge or similar)
- Scissors or craft knife
- Cricut machine (optional)
- Pencil for tracing
- Paper for decoration
Cut Out the Template

- Use a Cricut or trace and cut by hand.
- Measurements:
- Length: 8.35 cm (3.29 in)
- Width (thickness of the finished holder): 1 cm (0.39 in)
- Height: 3.5 cm (1.38 in)
- Thumb hole diameter: 2.1 cm (0.38 in)
- Cut out about 10 identical shapes (or more for desired thickness).
Stack and Glue Layers
- Stack the cutouts neatly and glue each layer together.
- Trim the edges as needed to ensure a smooth finish.
- Let dry completely before moving to the next step.
Decorate
- Cover the assembled holder with your chosen decorative paper (I used newspaper).
- Glue the paper securely in place.
- Use glue for a secure, smooth finish (optional).
Done!

Your Thumb Page Holder is now ready for use!
