This Is a Cup Holder Adapter to Fit Your Everyday Cups.

I came up with an idea about ways to fit coffee mugs and large cups in your average size cup holder.The bottom of this design is able to fit into every stander cup holder like a car, movie theater, golf cart, couch, and boat. So you can bring whatever cup you need and don't have to worry about having nowhere to put it. The open space is for helping to allow airflow and the ability to fit unique cups. It also conserved the amount of material used in this product. This open space is for fitting different types of cups with a handle like a coffee mug. This ledge helps so that you can put your larger cups and there will be support, it also helps so that you don't need to take it out when putting in your average-size cups, it will fit every cup you need without ever moving it. 

I used Tinkercad 3D printer and found a model for a 3D cup holder but made changes throughout the way. This also helped me with my different prototypes.Tinkercad 3D Cup holder model

1. Make 1st prototype for my idea.

Why this didn't work: In retrospect, upon evaluating the outcome of my second prototype, it became apparent that the underlying concept was indeed the correct direction to pursue. However, a notable oversight on my part occurred, as I inadvertently neglected to allocate an adequate space within the design to accommodate the presence of a coffee mug handle—a crucial aspect that held significant weight and importance within the overarching objectives of this undertaking.

The genesis of my final prototype stemmed from a meticulous process of ideation, involving extensive research, iterative design iterations, and countless hours of thoughtful consideration, culminating in the synthesis of a concept that encapsulated my vision and embodied the culmination of my creative endeavors.

Leveraging the cutting-edge capabilities of 3D printing technology, I employed my expertise to meticulously craft and fabricate a cup holder adapter, meticulously calibrating each intricate detail and ensuring precise measurements, ultimately materializing a functional and aesthetically pleasing solution that seamlessly integrated into my existing setup.

Eager to assess the efficacy of my meticulously 3D printed cup holder adapter, I subjected it to testing, eagerly anticipating the outcome, and to my delight, the adapter performed flawlessly, impeccably fulfilling its intended purpose with seamless functionality and precision, solidifying its successful integration into my daily routine.
