Thick Smoothie Bowl

This is a perfect summer treat, and can also be eaten as a snack, breakfast, or lunch (or even Brunch!)

The smoothie bowl is such a game-changer for me and possibly others because it is super quick and very easy!

Supplies

For the Smoothie:

1 frozen banana

1 ½ cups frozen blueberries

½ cup Maple of Plain yogurt (maple gives more flavor)

½ cup unsweetened coconut or almond/cashew milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Garnish:

Fresh or frozen blueberries

banana slices

Granola

(Whatever else you prefer, I tried chia seeds)

Chop up your frozen bananas.

Add both the blueberries and bananas into your blender of choice (I recommend high-powered)

Add the yogurt to the blender.

(Plain or Maple, I used Maple)

PULSE to combine the ingredients

Keep in mind that you are not trying to mix these ingredients yet.

Then you can add your Coconut milk or almond/cashew milk to the pulsed mixture.

Add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Your mixture should look like this after you combine the pulsed mixture with the milk and vanilla.

Transfer the smoothie into a bowl or cup and smooth.

Optional: Garnish!

First, start by chopping up a whole banana into slices, and add them to the bowl.

Along with the bananas, you can add your granola. I used a more flakey and light one, but you can go for whatever suits your taste.

ENJOY!!

Mine turned out like this, feel free to do whatever kind of design or pattern, or don't do anything at all :)
