The IPod Touch Sound Killer!

If you have ever met somebody who is obsessed with listening to obnoxiously loud music  on their ipod touch and you just want a way to get back at them, this project is the way to go.  I know this has happened to me and I just want a simple way to make them stop. I created this for free because I already had an old pair of headphones, so for most people, this project costs next to nothing.  I highly reccomend building this easy project with students because of its low cost and ease of build.  For little or no money, you can make a great April fools prank or simply an iPod touch sound killer!

Materials

You Will need...

* An old pair of earbuds

Tools

* A hot glue gun (with glue)

Step 1:

Step 1: Cut the old earbuds at the bottom, and remove the rubber casing so you are left with an audio jack with no wires attatched.  You could stop right now, but when you plug the jack in, it is hard to get out, so we must build a finger grip.

Step 2: Put a glob of hot glue onto the end of the jack so it won't interfere with your plugging in and out.  This is your finger grip.

Enjoy!

Congratulations, you have built your very own iPod silencer! Say goodbye to those annoying loud iPods, and simply sneak this onto their iPod.  See how long they continue listening until they notice the prank.  I hope you had fun!
