The World's Simplest Logic Gate Project
)

I crafted this logic gate project with the intent of aiding my students' comprehension of boolean logic gates. Perfect for visual learners, it doubles as a fidget toy, making learning engaging and interactive.
Supplies

3 LEDS
5 PUSH BUTTONS
1 RESISTOR (1 TO 2 K OHMS)
1 COIN BATTERY CR3023
PCB OR 3D PRINTER/LASER CUTTER.
CUT THE HOLDER

Use the following dxf file to laser cut the holder for the project, I have also added the google sketchup file so you can modify it as you wish.
Soldering the Buttons

Solder the buttons together the AND gate buttons should be in series, the OR should be in parallel and the NOT gate should connect to GND.
Soldering the LEDS

Solder each of the leds the longer lead + should connect to the buttons as seen in the image, the shorter legs - should connect from each led the last one should stick out over the battery hole.
Solder the Resistor.

We add one resistor to act like a jumper wire and to make the leds not so bright the end of the resistor should bend into the battery hole to connect the + of the battery. Join another wire to the last button for the NOT gate and your finished.
Add Battery and Done

Add a coin CR2032 battery and you are done! when you push the back wire onto the battery the NOT gate will light up if you push each of the buttons the corresponding logics will be displayed.
