The Ultimate Silica Gel Desiccant Container - 18g PETG

This silica gel desiccant container is, quite frankly, a masterpiece. Using optimized PETG print parameters, a high-quality print takes 1.5 hours; using PLA or PETG in high-speed mode, it can be completed in under 1 hour.

Meticulously perfected where it matters, fast and efficient where possible.

Notice for AMS Users:

The original design was intended for storage in sealed bags. If you plan to place it in an AMS rotating spool holder, you might need to scale the size up by 1-3% to ensure a tighter fit.

Why is it perfect? You won't need to look for another alternative.

  1. Economical: Prints with perfect parameters using only 18g of filament, so no worries about wasting material due to print defects.
  2. Fast & Efficient: Takes 1.5 hours with settings optimized for perfect PETG prints; under 1 hour in high-speed mode.
  3. Simple & Convenient: Using tested print parameters, you can print it from your phone without any worries.
  4. PETG Optimized: Both the model and print parameters are optimized for PETG material. Only PETG can withstand dry box temperatures, so PETG (or other high-temperature resistant filament) is recommended.
  5. Meticulously Refined: I've spent a significant amount of time on improvements, speed, and quality testing. Even aspects like seam placement, layer consistency, cooling, flow rate, bridging speed, and base adhesion/ooze control have been perfected, not to mention the Z-hop spiral refined to prevent stringing ;)
  6. Compact & Efficient: A small amount of silica gel maximizes the ventilation area. The ventilation area design balances print speed and material savings (thanks to @Midnightm3d & @Gdrag), and also saves on the amount of desiccant silica gel needed. No need for 60mm height; 20mm height gets the job done.
  7. Worry-Free: This model has undergone multiple tests and optimizations, through seven rounds of improvements. No surface cracks, slows down where necessary for quality, better bridging cooling, no stringing, no bridge sagging, and a solid first layer adhesion. Get ready to print a perfect (or super-fast) piece.

Changes in this version:

  1. Used Bambu Studio to remove only the sections of the side walls above 1cm.
  2. That's it! :) This model is already nearly perfect: dimensions, threads, lid, and vent hole sizes are optimal; overhangs are safe; and the vent configuration is perfect (longer slits and shorter pillars, reducing material usage).
