The Ultimate Challenge Game
Are you and your family bored of board games? Do you just want a game that will be fun and entertaining for your whole family? If that's the case, then The Ultimate Challenge Game will be perfect for you and your family! I hope you and your family can create fun memories with this game:)
Rules:
Objective- Be the first player to get to the finish.
Players will take turn rolling a dice and moving the amount of spaces they get.
If a player lands on a safe spot, they are safe.
If a player lands on a punishment place, they have to take a card from the punishment pile and do the punishment that the card says.
If a player lands on a mystery place, they have to take a card from the mystery pile and do what the card says.
If a player lands on a challenge place, they have to take a card from the challenge pile and do the challenge that the card says. If a player doesn't complete a challenge, they have to go back 1 space.
Supplies
For this game you will be needing:
- A pencil
- Markers (Red, green, black, and purple)
- Eraser
- Paper
- A surface for the game (I used a wooden surface, but cardstock or cardboard will work as well)
- Scissors
- Glue
- Decoration such as stickers, glitter glue or pop poms (Optional)
- Small objects for players (As many as needed)
- A dice
Sketching Out the Base
Use your pencil to sketch out the Start and the Finish place. Then sketch out the path you want for the game.
Making the Start and Finish Places
Use your scissors to cut out ovals with the paper. Then, use your marker to write "Start" and "Finish" onto the ovals. After that, glue the ovals onto the start and finish places.
Laying Out and Making the Path
Cut out square pieces using your scissors. Lay them out according to your path tracing. The more squares you have, the longer your game will take to play. Once you are done laying down the squares, glue them on.
Adding the Different Spaces and Messages
The Ultimate Challenge Game has 4 types of spaces: safe, challenge, mystery and punishment. Each one has a different color. Use your markers to write the names of the different spaces. You can choose the amount of each. The more safe spaces you have, the easier your game will be. You can also add different messages next to each different type of space.
Personalize the Game
Use stickers, glitter glue, tape, or anything else you want to customize your board game and make it unique!
Cutting the Cards
Use your scissors to cut the paper into cards. You will need 3 different piles of cards; one for the mystery cards, one for the punishment cards, and one for the challenge cards.
Making the Cards
After you have put the cards into piles, you can start making the cards.
A few ideas for mystery cards are:
- Switch places with the next player
- Go forward a certain amount of spaces
- Go backwards a certain amount of spaces
- Get a certain amount of extra turns
- Lose a certain amount of turns
- Go back to start
- Go to finish
A few ideas for challenges are:
- Drink a glass of water in 15 seconds
- Hula hoop for 30 seconds
- Jump on 1 foot 30 times in a row
- Type "The ultimate challenge game" in 5 seconds
- Catch a ball with your eyes closed
- Catch a ball 10 times in a row
A few ideas for punishments are:
- Go back to start
- Lose a certain amount of turns
- Go back a certain amount of spaces
- Switch places with the player who is the most behind
You can always think up your own ideas for cards, but these are just a few suggestions
You're Done!
Yay! You've successfully made an awesome board game that you and your family can enjoy. I hope that you and your family have a great time playing this game:)
