The Two Alarm Clock System - and Why You Should Use It Too!

The two alarm clock system is a system that I have developed that I believe is the optimum way of waking you up and getting you out of bed in the mornings. It first wakes you up and gives you a chance to get out of bed on your own before persuading you to get out of bed.

Supplies

All you need is two alarm clocks, they do not need to be the same.

Using a phone can work for a second alarm clock but is less than ideal.

Clock Placement

The placement of the two alarm clocks is important. The First alarm clock (ALARM A) is to be placed on your bedside as you would with any old alarm clock. The second alarm clock (ALARM B) needs to be placed across your room, making you get out of bed to turn it off.

Alarm Times

The two alarm clocks will both have different alarm times on them.

The first alarm clock (A) will go off First, the purpose of this one is to wake you up.

The second alarm clock (B) will go off second, between no more than 2 minutes and no less than 1 minute for optimal effect. This Alarm is to get you out of bed, but it gives you a chance to wake up and get out of bed on your own first.

Example:

I want to get up at 6:25:

Alarm A (bedside) is set to 6:24

Alarm B (Across room) is set to 6:25

Why Not One Alarm Clock?

You may be asking, "Why shouldn't I just use one alarm clock?" I am going to answer that.

Having the two-alarm clock system as described above is superior, as it has the benefits of having an alarm clock on your bedside and having an alarm clock across the room. It maintains an easy way of accessing the time while still making you get up.

The reason for two alarm times is simple. Its more relaxing. Having the staggered alarm times makes the whole waking up and getting up process more relaxing than an alarm blaring on the other side of the room waking you up. The earlier alarm allows you to wake up and give yourself a moment to wake yourself up properly. With the later alarm to ensure that you get up, the gap in between the two alarms gives you a chance to get up by yourself without the second alarm.

What's Wrong With Using My Phone

Using your phone as an alarm clock is bad for several reasons. Firstly, it increases your dependency on your mobile phone, and it keeps you tethered to your phone even in sleep. Secondly, it is good for your phone's health and longevity to be fully powered off overnight. Finally, the first thing you do and see when you wake up every morning is your phone, which increases your attachment to and dependency on it.

Summary

In conclusion, the two alarm clock system guarantees that you get up on time every morning in a relaxing manner.

This system has never failed me and I would love to hear about your experiences with this in the morning.
