I love mixing my own drinks at parties but its usually impractical to take several bottles of spirits of course, so I find taking a 6 or 8oz flask to be handy.
I have made a little recipe of a few straight spirits I love that go together beautifully and can be enjoyed sipped or added to drinks from a flask. The drink is called the Traveled Pirate because it contains both Caribbean Spiced and Coconut rum and Russian Vodka. The recipe is as follows:
1 part Vodka (Blue Label Smirnoff 50%)
1 part Spiced Rum (Sailor Jerry 40%)
2 parts Coconut Rum (Malibu 21%)
It will sure warm you up :) For a little extra kick use a OP dark rum like Bounty Rum 60% instead of spiced rum.
