The Barbie Dream House (Sustainable Edition)
Hi, I'm Annie, and today I am telling you about my sustainable house. The purpose of this project was to show people how easy it is to bring sustainable aspects into your life. My sustainable house was built specifically for a certain type of biome, the Coastal Desert, so there could be things that you see on this house that would not normally be on a sustainable house in a different biome. A biome is a large naturally occurring community of flora and fauna occupying a major habitat, e.g. forest or tundra.
Boime defintion:
A biome is a collection of plants and animals that have common characteristics for the environment they exist in. They can be found over a range of continents. Biomes are distinct biological communities that have formed in response to a shared physical climate.
Some of the aspects that makes my house sustainable include:
-less usage of fossil fuels, coal, etc.
- more energy conservation.
-more water conservation.
-Solar panels will be used.
-All-natural cleaning products will be used.
-Energy-efficient lighting and air conditioning
-Roof vents
-And many more.
In conclusion, my house is what I would like to think of as very sustainable. I had a lot of fun doing this project, and I hope you enjoyed it!
Steps:
1. Make a house in Minecraft
2. Add anything sustainable necessary for that specific room.
3. Make gardens and make a closed fence for the animals.
4. Add miniature details and any extra things.
Supplies
Minecraft blocks!!
Making the Outside of the House
This part is very important. You need to start by making the outside of the house without decorating anything just yet, mine is all different types of wood, and it has some concrete for the ceilings. Make sure to include roof vents on the outside of the house, many windows, and solar panels!!
Decorating With Sustainable Aspects
-This part may be the most important. Part of having a sustainable house is having the supplies you need for being sustainable! People usually tend to think that being sustainable cant fit their "aesthetic" but if you find the right things for you, it can be so cute! Some of the sustainable aspects that are the most important are having more water and energy conservation, furnaces, wood stoves, and so much more!
Make Garden and Animal Fences!
Gardens are so important! They are energy efficient because there is less cooking (which takes up energy and water) involved. It is healthier and better for pricing! Cost-efficient too!
Add Anything Miniature (tables, Plants, Etc. )
Add anything sustainable that I didn't say! You can add plants, more trees, a table, and anything extra!!
