The Spinning Snowman- Project 2
We decided to make a snowman who spins in a full circle. We picked this idea because we needed to incorporate a servo motor within an object that can also have a CPX involved throughout the design. We picked to do a snowman because we saw several designs of robots, but we wanted to make it more of a seasonal theme.
Supplies
- Thin wooden sticks
- Three styrofoam balls
- One CPX
- One circular servo motor
- One lever servo motor
- Googly eyes
- Orange pom pom
- Glue gun
- Pipe cleaners
- Cardboard present
- Cardboard Hat
- Cardboard platform
Gather All Materials Needed
Gather all materials in order to start the process of making the design.
Start to Code
Go to the Mu Editor app and insert the code of the lever and then the code for the circular servo motor. Both of the Circular motors will spin the item placed on top (present and snowman).
Assemble the Design Pt. 1
Take the three styrofoam balls and stack them on top of one another and put a wooden stick threw it to hold them together. Then add a flat cardboard platform for the snowman to stand on.
Assemble the Design Pt. 2
Add the stick arms on the sides of middle styrofoam ball.
Assemble the Design Pt. 3
Add circular servo motor inside the head of the snowman to activate it to spin.
Finished Snowman Product!
The snowman design is now complete!
Assemble the Present Design
Use cardboard to form a present design and add circular servo motor to the bottom to make it spin. Add CPX to the top of the present and it will light up.
