The Sitcom Simulator 📺 Motion Activated TV Jingles 🎶

Want to add a fun, quirky touch to your home that surprises your guests with iconic TV show sounds? This Sitcom Simulator is just what you need! Inspired by the classic Seinfeld bass riffs, this project is quick, easy, and budget-friendly. Follow these simple steps to create your own Sitcom Simulator for $15 in around just 15 minutes.

Tape (optional, for volume control)

PC (required for uploading audio clips, a Mac will not work)

I was initially gonna build this hugely complicated contraption using Arduino but then I found this on Amazon which was pretty much exactly what I wanted!

This device will trigger your sound clips whenever someone walks by, is battery powered, has decent sound quality, is mountable, and has an on/off switch.

I've provided 13 different sitcom bass riffs for you to download and utilize. You can upload all of these to the device from Amazon and it will cycle through them.

If you have any ideas for other sounds to use, let me know and I can provide them here as well.

Note: You must use a PC for this step as the device does not support Mac for uploading clips.

Connect the sound player to your PC and upload the Seinfeld bass riffs to the device. To prevent the device from activating too frequently, the files I provided have a few seconds of silence at the end of each clip.

Position the sound player near your door or any area where you want the sound to be triggered.

Secure it in place as per the manufacturer’s instructions.

If the sound is too loud, you can place some tape over the speaker to muffle it slightly.

And there you have it! Your very own Sitcom Simulator, ready to surprise and delight anyone who walks by!
