The Oven Mitt

The oven mitt has a secret pocket on the inside that can hold valuable items. Think someone would steal this think again...the product is something not even a robber would think to glance at.

Materials

These are the few materials I used to make the product:

  • Oven Mitt
  • Hot glue gun
  • Felt (The color of my felt does not match the inside but its all I had).
  • Scissors

Placing the Hidden Pocket

Next I decided where I would place the felt pocket. I decided to place it on the roof of the mitt making it less noticeable to the eye if picked up.

Cutting the Felt

The felt should be in the shape of a square. To make sure it fits I put it inside to see if it needs to be adjusted at all. If needed use the scissors to cut the felt down into a smaller size. Also remember pick a color that matches the inside of your own oven mitt.

Gluing the Felt

Next I glued three sides of the felt so it will stick to the oven mitts material. Make sure to leave a side open so you can place the object inside the hidden pocket.

Adding Glue If Needed

After placing the felt inside the oven mitt make sure that it is secure. If not it may need some more hot glue so the object can fit nicely in the oven mitt. I had to glue the opening a little more so the item would stay inside better.

The Final Product

This is the ending product and I placed a key to show the nifty things anyone can place inside.

Thank you for you time!
