The Marat Side Table

If you can assemble an Ikea table then you can assemble my side table made from a crate
Ikea products have names and I think my side table made from a crate deserves a name too.

Materials:

Materials:
One small crate or wooden box
Small table legs and brackets
Screws

The crate I used was an old wooden butter box my which my grandfather had attached a hinged lid (which I removed). Granddad had kept bits of string, rope and twine in this wooden box. These must have been special bits of rope and twine that warranted being kept in a special box. When I am a granddad, I too will have my own box of string, rope and twine.

The legs and brackets were salvaged from a coffee table found in a rubbish skip but these can be found at a hardware store.

Brackets and Legs

Measure where the brackets are to go and screw them into place. Nothing hard about this. My crate was rough condition and getting too accurate wasn’t possible.

Attach Legs

Attach legs. Check to see if there are any nails sticking out which could catch clothes etc.

Enjoy
