Gather Your Supplies
You will need the following materials:
1. A deck of playing cards
That's it!

Separate the Cards
Arrange the cards in four piles according to their colour and suit. So, one pile should have all the spades, one should have all the diamonds, the third one should have all the clubs and the last one should have all the hearts. You will need only one pile for the trick but it is a good idea to practice if you are a beginner.
Settle the Cards
Lay out the cards in any order as shown in the picture. We must now begin to settle them. The order in which we have to settle them is:
3 8 7 A J 6 4 2 Q K 10 9 5
Start picking up the cards, keeping the 8 above the 3, the 7 above the 8 and so on.
Note: Do not show the settlement of the cards to the person to be tricked.
This sounds difficult, right? I mean, who can possibly remember the long order? But there is a quick hack to that too. Just remember this sentence:
IN THE YEAR 387, ONE JACK ENTERTAINED 642 QUEENS AND KINGS FOR 1095 GOLD COINS.
See, you can remember the order quite easily!

Now for the Magic! Part One
Start spelling out the numbers and with each letter, keep one card under the pile in your hand.
So, starting with one, when you say O, keep one card on the bottom of the pile. When you say N, keep on more card and when you say E, repeat the process. The next card is to be opened. It will be an ace, aka 'one'. Similarly, spell T-W-O and open the next card, it will be 2.

Part Two
When you get to ten and then the Jack, do not spell J-A-C-K. Instead, spell E-L-E-V-E-N. Similarly, spell T-W-E-L-V-E for Queen and T-H-I-R-T-E-E-N for King.
And voila! You just got the cards as per the ascending order, just by spelling it out!
CONGRATULATIONS!
