Scratch and Making the Game
Use your computer to make a scratch program and make the game. This game specifically all you have to do is create a sprite and give it movement functions and a ball that bounces off the walls and you gain a point each time it bounces, as well as stops the game when it hits the cat. If you want an example the link for the scratch program is here. The kitten should have motion making it move with corresponding arrow keys and add changing costumes if you so desire.
Creating the Controller
If you want the picture for the For this step forward all you will need every supply excluding the Laptop to continue. You use the cardboard as a back that you put everything on top. The picture for everything you need is here. You can take pictures of arrows from the internet and print 4 pictures or draw the arrows.
Glue together the 5 aluminium foil to the cardboard make sure the aluminium foil is not touching each other and that there is a little aluminum foil hanging off the edge to clip with the alligator clips later or you can just use copper tape instead of doing that. There should be an aluminium foil up, left, right, and down from the center there should also be one on the bottom left corner that will be your ground.
Next is to cut out your arrows and glue them on your aluminium foil, make sure the arrows is seeable and on the cardboard and not hanging off the edge. Make sure the aluminium is larger than the arrow
Getting Everything Connected
Plug in your makey-makey into your computer. Attach alligator clips to each arrows All you have to do now is connect the controller/gamepad and connect each piece of foil/copper tape with a corresponding arrow. make sure that you also connect an alligator to the piece of foil that represents foil. For the game to work you must always be touching that piece of foil once the games starts. A picture of the final product is here. Once this is done all you have to do is keep your hand on the ground when the game start and you can touch the corresponding letters and the kitten will move according to what you press.
