The House of Your Dreams(Easy to Make House in Dessert Biome)

Hi, im nolan obrien, a 7th grade student from central tree rutland, MA. This is the house I built, with a bit of help from my mom. It has many features includeing a well, Rain collecter barrel, garage, road and cacti because my house I built is in The dry dessert biome and is in AZ. So buckle in and get ready for the magical ride that my house is!

Look into were you keep your recyicibles and get good sized flat cardboard, toilt paper cardboard rolls, Coloring utensils, straws,very tiny candy box, soda can(optional), colored paper(works best for desert look and road), see through plastic, tape or strong glue.

First off, get your cardboard and put one of the flats down as the floor.Then, get the rest of your flats and tape them one by one standing up( put up against something first for support).By the end of that, it should look like the image at the top without a roof, light , windows or door. Next, get a knife and cut squares out and then get your see through plastic or whatever works for you and tape it from the inside of the house to the walls.( repeat the last sentence 4x)

Next, get another flat of cardboard and bend it but not to much to make it like a triangle. put that on the top but dont tape or glue it.

This is to make your house look better, more presentable but just know, they are optional but I do suggest to do them.If you are doing ll the extras, I suggest to get a BIG pizza box if you can.

If you look at the far right of the first photo, and to the left in the second photo, you can see green structures. Those are cacti, and are simple to make. Get the toilet paper rolls, and rap them in green construction paper and tape them together.Then,cut slits in them so you can get the arms of the cacti, which you should make out of the green construction paper.

The next thing you could make is a well. The third image is a well and is also easy to make. You'll need to get your candybox, tape and straws out for this one. First, rap up and tape the box in a dark color like brown, grey, or black. Next, tape that together and then, cut a straw in half and bend it, as well as taping it to the candybox to finish it.

for your desert, its simple, just cover the big pizza box with yellow paper,as well as tapeing it on.

The road is made by cutting two long black, meduim sized lines of construction paper and tape it to the side of the pizza box. Then cut out tiny yellow lines to make the dashes in the .

The rain barrel quite simple, as all you do is get a soda can, rap it in construction paper(tape), and put a full sized straw in it. The, a straw from the top, all the way down the middle to the bottom, then attach to the side of the roof and line it up with the straw.

lastly, get a phone, turn on the flashlight, remove the untapped or glued roof, put the phone in and put the roof back on, now you have light!

last ting you'll do is put everything on the pizza box(desert).

You can use this project for anything you can think of! Showing it off to your, friends, making it for extra credit, maybe even for a house assignment! Let me just tell you, I actaully had some fun makeing this but, you'll need someone to help you because it will take you much longer and will be less stressful and more fun!
