The Hammer (Paper Airplane)

On the level of difficulty, the Hammer is right between the levels of the most basic paper airplanes to the lowest level of professionalism.

HAMMER TIME!

Begin with a sheet of paper. Printer paper usually works best due to its stiffness and good folding abilities. Take the top left corner of the sheet of paper and bring it down to the right side of the sheet, so the two edges are aligned and there is about one quarter of the paper left untouched at the bottom.

Unfold the fold you just made.

Take the right hand corner and do the first step, but in relation to the right side.

Unfold that crease.

Taking the right corner of the paper, fold it so the edge of the fold is along the crease going from the top left corner to the right edge.

Do the same thing with the left corner, folding the corner so the edge of the fold goes along the crease going from the top right corner to the left edge of the paper.

Fold the paper in half, vertically down the middle.

Unfold that crease.

Fold the top point of the paper down, aligning it with the bottom of the paper.

Take the outer edges of the paper and fold it in the centre, the points touching. (See picture above)
Unfold.

Fold up the top edge that was previously folded down at the point where its edge meets the creases of the previous step.

Fold the protruding flaps in half. (Along the inner crease)

Fold the protruding flaps on the crease. There should be a straight edge down the sides of the paper.

Fold down the point of the paper. Flip entire plane over.

Fold plane in half.

Fold down the wings on each side, aligning them with the body of the plane. Open up the wings so they are roughly ninety degrees to the body.

Now you're ready to fly!
