I made this solar generator mainly for camping but in between trips I like to take it to the lake where I have power for all of my gafgets.

My setup includes:

Stanley Rolling Toolbox
100ah Deep Cycle Solar Battery
150w Modified Sine Wave Inverter (mounted to the front)
600w Modified Sine Wave Inverter (inside main body with 1200w surge capacity)
2 power outlets on the rear each containing 3 sockets apiece
2x45w Folding Solar Panels
1x120w Folding Solar Panels
12v LED Battery Display
12v 2 Port Cigarette Lighter Outlets
On/Off Switch (powered)
Powered 5w LED Flashlight on the front of the unit
Battery Meter
Total cost: €590 (around $775)

.. and a host of electrical wiring fuses, , alligator clamps, nuts & bolts. I know that a pure sine wave inverter is better for variable speed devices.. motors ect, but I won't be using any therefore I went with what was cheaper. With this setup I've successfully powered my 55w electric cooler, 30w oscillating fan, a desklight, laptop computer, recharged AA & AAA NiMH batteries, charged my lantern, mobile phones and a tablet computer... at once.
