The Earring Garden

In this instructable, we are going to make a button flower garden with two functions: cute wall art and earring holder. 

Picture frame
Mesh plastic canvas (.59 cents, can be found in the needlepoint supplies)
Flower buttons
Pipe cleaner
Ribbon, yarn, or lace (anything to hang the frame with)
Scissors
Hot glue gun

After cutting the mesh plastic canvas to fit the frame, arrange the buttons on the canvas. Be aware of the direction of the button holes as this is where you will place your earrings. 

Layout the pipe cleaner stems, twisting to create leaves. Be creative here! 

Place a drop of hot glue on the button and attach the stem. Again, be conscious of the direction of the button holes. 

Carefully glue the flowers to the mesh canvas leaving some glue free space on the stem near the button (you want some flexibility to place earrings through the hole). Also, it would be best to glue one flower at a time, as you will need to flip over the frame to let the glue dry, preferably not on your work surface. Continue with each flower, making sure they are secure.  

Measure equal distances from the edges of the top of the frame and glue the ribbon you will use to hang the frame. I used ribbon the length of the frame, but you can adjust this. 

Place a generous amount of hot glue on the frame.  

Line up the edge of the canvas and the frame, pressing firmly on the hot glued area. 

Be sure to place some extra glue around the stems. 

The buttons keep earrings together and if you run out of buttons to place earrings you can use the mesh canvas netting.
