The Dispose Delight Using Tinkercad

Here is how I designed and built my trash picker using Tinkercad and how you can design a trash picker too. This project of mine was simple, fun, and creative. I chose to make a trash picker because it can be put to use for many other reasons. It can be used for picking up litter and also it can be used for the elderly to use to reach for things that are at a far distance. So, because of this I decided to design my own.

Supplies

Tools:

Tubes

Round roof

Ball socket

Handle

Parts-

tube: radius 10, wall thickness 25

Other tube : radius 9.86, wall thickness 3.36

Round roof : find in shapes library, hardware option

Ball socket : find in shapes library, hardware option

Handle : find in shapes library, hardware option

  1. Open up Tinkercad and start off by adding two round roof and placing them at the center of the grid. Then, make sure the measurement of the both round roofs are the same [ 44cm long, 3cm wide]. After that, add one tube to each end of the round roofs, make the shape of the tubes into a cylinder, the measurement of the tubes should be 6cm long and 10cm wide, the other measurements of the tubes are seen above in the images.

This process is done so that the trash picker can pick up items and close to do so.

Add an Item That Will Hold Design Together

Next, add a ball socket to the design. Create the ball socket to be 20cm long and 30cm wide. Attach/connect the ball socket to the round roofs.

This process is done to hold together the whole design.

Adding Handle to Design

After, add a tube in between the ball socket. Make sure the measurement of the tubes are 12cm long and 10cm wide, [the other measurements are seen above in the images]. Lastly, connect the tube to a handle that measures 53cm long and 14 cm wide.

This process is done to connect the handle to the design. By doing this you have completed the design.
