The Cookie Brownie

The Cookie Brownie is a desert that is three layers thick. It is has brownie on the bottom and the top, with cookie in the middle. It is a delicious treat to share with your friends and family.

Supplies

For the brownies you need

  • 4 oz of Bakers unsweetened chocolate
  • 3/4 cup of butter
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup flour

For the cookies you need

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

Making the Brownies

First you have to preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Now you have to make the brownie batter. Melt the butter and the chocolate together in a bowl for 2 minutes. Stir so that chocolate is completely melted. Then stir in sugar, eggs and vanilla. Lastly, add flour. Set the batter to the side so that you can make the cookie dough.

Making the Cookie Dough

For the cookies you first want to mix the butter, sugar and brown sugar in a stand mixer bowl, or a large bowl to hand mix. Mix in the egg, the vanilla extract, baking soda, and salt. Stir in flour, then stir in the chocolate chips.

Now that both batters ready, have a pan that is about a 10x10, make sure to spray the pan. To make the three layers, pour half of the brownie batter in the pan. Then take sections of the cookie dough, flatten them, and place them on top until the dough runs out. Pour the rest of the brownie batter on top. Put it in the oven for 30-40 minutes, once the cookie is done.
