The Best Fried Rice

I have been experimenting with different types of fried rice and found the best one! I just had to share it!! Hope you all enjoy this for breakfast, lunch or dinner!

Serves 4-6 (depends how hungry you all are!)

Supplies

Stove top

Small Fry pan

Large pan

Wooden spoon

Measuring spoons and cups

Chopping board

Knife

Fork or whisk

Peeler

Gather the ​ingredients

Grab these ingredients:

1 tsp each of salt & pepper

1 kg (approx) cooked rice (day old is best)

4 eggs

1/2 - 1 cup left-over meat (optional)

2 Tblspn soy sauce

1/2 cup each of frozen peas & corn

2 carrots

3 mushrooms

3 Tblspn oil (whatever you have)

1/4 - 1/2 tsp chilli powder (or leave it out if you don't like it spicy)

1 tsp cumin

1 tsp ginger

1 tsp onion powder (leave this out if you don't have it)

1 tsp garlic powder (or garlic clove)

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp coriander

Mix the Spices

Add and mix all the spices into a bowl.

Chop Up the Veggies

Thinly slice two peeled carrots and 3 mushrooms. Feel free to add whatever vegetables you want! I used what we had in the fridge.

Mix Eggs

Whisk 2 eggs with a fork (or whisk) in a bowl.

Fry the Spices

Fry the spices with 1 Tablespoon of oil, stir with a wooden spoon, in a small pan for 1 minute.

Add In...

In a large pan add 2 Tblspns oil and add the rice. Stir. Add spices from the small pan into the large pan with the rice. Stir for a few minutes and add egg and carrot.

Add Meat (optional) and the Rest of the Veggies

To the large pan add some leftover meat (optional), mushrooms, peas and corn. Stir.

Lastly, add soy sauce, salt and pepper. Stir thoroughly.
